I live out of the area, how do I oversee progress if I am not there all the time?
See the Internet House. We have built a reputation for working with out of area clients. From the East Coast to overseas our client list spans the globe. Including a home we built for a German family, who didn't see it until it was finished (they were so happy they cried!). We use a digital camera to get visual images to our clients when they are not here and keep in constant contact via phone, e-mail and fax.

How long does it take to complete a house once you start?
That depends on the size of your home and its detail. Weather at Priest Lake can be an issue if you are not prepared. We try to schedule our projects so we work year round. Average project time is approximately one year.

What is the average square foot cost at Priest Lake?
This question gets asked more frequently than any other and totally depends on your tastes. Finish choices can accelerate the cost per square foot. But a good rule of thumb for a moderately finished home is $95 per square foot.

Why does it cost more to build at Priest Lake than other places such as Spokane for instance?
This is the second most asked question. Priest Lake is a long way from everywhere. (That's why we all love it so much!) As a consequence however it costs more for transporting materials in, subcontractors not living in the area, and competent craftsmen. We constantly comparative shop our suppliers and subcontractors, to make sure you are getting the best deal possible and pass that savings along to you.

Can you build my house during the winter months?
If we couldn't build during the winter, we couldn't be a full time business at Priest Lake. How do we do it? Planning, planning and more planning! Ideally, we like to have our homes closed in and be working inside by the time the snow flies. Plus we have really tough crews.

Can you help me with the site development and permitting process?
Absolutely! Ken has been at Priest Lake all his life and knows the lay of the land. We have worked on some of the most challenging sites at Priest Lake, assuring you of maximizing your little piece of heaven to the utmost. Not all plans are appropriate for all sites. We can help you through that process and help you get all the requirements completed as well.
